Eligibility

  • Applicants must qualify as international students pursuant to MOE Regulations Regarding "Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan".
  • The relevant regulations for International Students are outlined in the "Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan" of the Ministry of Education (MOE). Violation of any of the above-mentioned regulations will result in immediate cancellation of the applicant's admission, the deprivation of the applicant's recognized status as a TNUA registered student or revocation of the applicant's TNUA diploma. No academic certificate will be given.Applicants can visit "Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan" for more details..

Admission Procedure

2025 Admission Handbook for International Students
  • Make sure the departments/institutes are opened to foreign students — see ‘Admission Handbook’.
  • Applicants of the International MA Program in Studies of Arts and Creative Industries (SAC), if also apply for ICDF Scholarship, do not have to pay the application fee. OIA will review such applicants’ qualification. Those who are not qualified to waive application fee will be asked to pay the fee in order to complete the application procedure.
  • The application packet must be submitted either in person or by express mail to the address indicated below prior to the application deadline (must be postmarked by March 23, 2025
  • Admission result announcement: Beginning of June, 2025
  • International students may apply for the Taiwan Scholarship offered by the Taiwanese Government. Applicants can visit Taiwan Scholarship Program for further information.(Normally the MOE scholarship Application period is from Feb.1 to March 31, subject to change.)Please note that admission applications and scholarship applications are separate. An applicant who receives any scholarship award is NOT guaranteed a TNUA entrance admission, and vice versa. Applicants MUST aware different deadlines for scholarships and school admission.

Language Requirement

Applicants should reach “A2” level of TOCFL or equivalent levels. Language requirements may differ from program to program. If required otherwise, the applicants should follow the individual requirements demanded by the intended departments or graduate programs; For the International MA Program in Studies of Arts and Creative Industries (SAC), applicants should reach at the graduate level: the certificate must be above TOEFL-iBT 79, IELTS 6.5, TOEIC 800.Please click here for more information about the International MA Program in Studies of Arts and Creative Industries (SAC)..
***Currently, TNUA only offers one master's program that is fully conducted in English. Other departments provide courses in Mandarin. Please refer to the Chinese language proficiency requirements in the admission brochure for each department.
