On April 9th, Wu Yi-San, the director of the Dance Department at Taipei National University of the Arts (TNUA), Huang Aguan, the library director, Goh Boon Ann, professor in the Dance Department, and three alumni from Beijing Dance Academy who are currently pursuing their PhD in Dance at TNUA: Lu Yin, Xu Zhe, and Hu Dongchen hosted Vice President Zhang Qiang, Dean Li Xin from the School of Humanities, and Ruan Wei, the library/dance museum director from our partner school, Beijing Dance Academy.
Both sides first discussed matters related to the exchange between the two schools. Afterwards we visited the Man-Fei Theater to see the venue facilities and watched an introduction video about TNUA.
Then, we went to the Dance Department Building 2, where we visited the Igal Perry’s workshop for the Master’s class, a dance class by Teacher Lin Li-Chuan, and an open class “The Rite of Spring” for instructor Lee’s students.
Later, we visited the performance center to see the music hall facilities. Finally, we went to the library to see the hardware and software facilities and visited the school history room to learn about TNUA’s history in the past.

From the Theater and Dance Building to the music hall, the Dance Department building, and the library/school history room, our group visited TNUA’s Dance Department to learn about its academic programs, artistic courses, and campus facilities, and to exchange ideas.
