The 2025 Shared Campus (SC) Briefing Session will introduce the Critical Ecologies (CE) course.TNUA students are welcome to attend this event, application information is attached. TNUA Event Details Date: 19 Sep 2024 (Thursday) Time: 12:15p.m – 13:30p.m Venue: Future Past Lab (Across from TNUA Cafe) Join a Journey in Critical Ecologies: An International Intensive Course This intensive course offers a unique opportunity to explore the deep connections between humans and their environment. From February 8th to 16th, 2025, you’ll travel to Yogyakarta, Indonesia, for an immersive week of studying land, local knowledge, and ecological practices, alongside international students and artists. This course is part of the Shared Campus | Critical Ecologies initiative (also part of the “Shared Campus Micro-Credential Program at TNUA). All TNUA students are encouraged to apply.
Engage in Cross-Cultural Learning and Collaboration During this intensive course, you will: ·Work with local artists and collectives in Yogyakarta, learning about their land-based practices and knowledge. ·Collaborate with students from Zurich University of the Arts (Switzerland) and LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore), sharing diverse views on land and ecology. ·Participate in field trips to observe real-world ecological and social practices related to land and alternative futures. ·Take part in hands-on activities that connect you with nature and deepen your understanding of ecological relationships. Continue the Dialogue in Taipei Upon returning to Taipei, you will continue the dialogue through four sessions at Taipei National University of the Arts. These sessions will provide a platform for: •Discussing and analyzing the experiences and insights gained during the Indonesian immersion. •Collaborating with fellow participants to develop creative and innovative art projects that address land-based ecological issues. Refining and presenting your projects as a final showcase
Prerequisites: •Open to all currently enrolled TNUA students interested in critical ecology, indigeneity, land, and art. •Willingness to engage in active participation, both in person and online. •Openness to new perspectives and cross-cultural learning. Details of CE Part 1: Date:8 Feb 2025 – 16 Feb 2025 Venue:Yogyakarta, Indonesia.
Part 2: Date:Four sessions in February and March, 2025 Venue:Taipei, Taiwan. Application Procedure: •Submit a printed copy of the following application documents to Pu-Sheng, SHEN (David) at the Office of International Affairs (OIA) in TNUA.
