2022 Shared Campus Summer School -Critical Ecologies: Remote Guide to Extractivism

The course is co-offered by IMCCI and the Dance Department of TNUA, also part of the Shared Campus Project offered alongside two parallel courses led by the Monash University in Australia and the Zurich University of the Arts in relocated sites in Greece.

The students have accomplished two videos, “Endaan” and “We are the world, can it be?” during a four-day field study trip to Truku tribes and their traditional territories in Hualien led by Truku artist Watan Tusi and the members of his TAI Body Theatre, in July 2022.

After a premiere screening at the Zurich University of the Arts in relocated sites in Greece, one more screening took place on 1 December 2022 at the School of Dance TNUA. The video creators also shared their curatorial statements with the class after the screening. It wrapped the course up with a satisfactory closure.
