本校與多摩美術大學的淵源深厚，近五年兩校也有交換學生的往來。早在1991年，本校科技藝術研究中心（藝科中心前身）首位主任蘇守政教授（已故）邀來“名古屋國際科技藝術特展”，該展覽是國內非常指標性的國際科技藝術展，而森脇教授正是當年的藝術家之一，同時也是蘇教授在日本筑波大學的同門學弟，兩人交情頗深。

 

近期中正紀念堂展廳“光影魔法美術館 II”中的光の波紋 流光之波正是森脇教授的作品之一。負責本次接待的人員為林亞婷國際長及楊育睿國際合作組組長，同時也感謝藝科中心的同仁們協助。當中令訪客有最深印象的作品為利用游泳池所創作的裝置藝術品「壞運動」，肯定其推廣至國際之潛力，期待未來繼續深化台日間的藝術交流機會。

 

Professor Hiroyuki Moriwaki from Tama Art University, Japanese designer Ms. Junko Kuwabara, and Assistant Professor Yukihiko Yoshida, a visiting Japanese scholar in the Department of Theatre Arts at TNUA, visited the campus on February 9 and toured the Center for Art and Technology.

 

TNUA has a long-standing relationship with Tama Art University and has maintained student exchange collaborations over the past five years. As early as 1991, Professor Shou-Cheng Su (late), the founding director of the Center for Art and Technology (formerly the Research Center for Art and Technology), invited the “Nagoya International Techno Art Exhibition” to be presented at TNUA. The exhibition was a landmark international techno-art event in Taiwan. Professor Moriwaki was one of the participating artists at that time and was also a junior alumnus of Professor Su at the University of Tsukuba in Japan, reflecting their close academic connection.

Recently, Professor Moriwaki’s work Light Ripples (光の波紋 / 流光之波) has been featured in the exhibition “Magic of Light Art Museum II” at the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall.

 

The delegation was received by Dean of International Affairs, Professor Yatin Lin, and Section Chief of International Cooperation, Professor Louise Yang. We also extend our sincere appreciation to colleagues at the Center for Art and Technology for their assistance in hosting the visit.

 

Among the works showcased, the installation Bad Sports, created using a swimming pool, left a particularly strong impression on the visitors. They recognized its strong potential for international promotion and expressed their anticipation of further deepening artistic exchanges between Taiwan and Japan.
