Job-Seeking Residence Extension
International students who wish to stay in Taiwan after graduation to look for employment may apply for a residence extension through the National Immigration Agency. This allows graduates to remain in Taiwan for job searching, interviews, and employment preparation.
Work Permit: Points-Based System for Overseas Chinese and Foreign Students
After graduation, overseas Chinese and foreign students who have received a job offer from a Taiwanese employer may apply for a work permit through the employer under the points-based system. Evaluation items may include education, salary, Chinese language proficiency, work experience, professional skills, and other achievements.
The Taiwan Employment Gold Card is a four-in-one permit for foreign professionals, combining a work permit, resident visa, Alien Resident Certificate, and re-entry permit. Applicants do not need employer sponsorship and may apply based on their professional field and qualifications. The Gold Card is suitable for foreign professionals who wish to work, freelance, or develop their careers in Taiwan.
The Freelance Artist Visa is suitable for foreign artists who wish to engage in artistic creation, collaboration, exhibitions, performances, research, production, or cultural promotion in Taiwan. Holders may also conduct workshops or lectures, serve as judges or critics, or participate in arts and cultural activities. The work undertaken during the permit period must be related to the applicant’s artistic profession.
The Entrepreneur Visa is a residence system provided by Taiwan for foreign entrepreneurs. It is suitable for individuals who wish to establish a company, studio, brand, or cultural and creative business in Taiwan. Applicants with innovative ideas, business plans, or team development plans may apply in accordance with relevant regulations.
