Registered students from TNUA’s international partner institutions are eligible to apply for the Exchange Student (Student Mobility) Programme. Please consult your Home Institution’s International Office or relevant department for internal selection procedures and nomination details.
Applicants must be officially nominated by their Home Institution through the TNUA online portal before they can proceed with their individual applications.
Nomination and Application Process
The application process is conducted entirely online via the TNUA Inbound Exchange System. (Open from Jan 1 to March 31)
For Home Institution Coordinators: International partners with an existing Partnership Agreement, MoU, or Exchange Student Agreement must first register an account on the portal. Once the account is verified by TNUA, coordinators may log in to nominate their selected students by providing the required candidate information.
For Nominated Students: Upon successful nomination, students will receive an automated notification email from the system. To activate the account for the first time, students must click on the “Forget (Password)” link to set up their personal login credentials. Once logged in, students are required to complete the online application form, which includes personal background information and the selection of the intended department or graduate institute. All supporting documents must be uploaded directly to the portal to finalize the submission.

Certificate of Language Proficiency (Refer to the requirements below)
Note on Portfolios: A Portfolio/Audition file is not required for students applying to the following institutions: Dance Department at Purchase College, WAAPA Edith Cowan University, Ohio State University, and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, unless specifically requested by the department.
Language Proficiency Requirements
As the majority of lectures at TNUA are conducted in Mandarin, applicants are highly encouraged to possess sufficient Mandarin proficiency to ensure understanding of instruction. Please refer to the link for the specific requirements per department/institute: (link)
