徐碧霞講師透過實際考試題目和測驗錄音帶領職員實際練習，包括聆聽關鍵詞、抓出問題中涉及的人事物，以及在段落填空中判斷如何選擇合適的句子。最後，徐碧霞講師建議參與者根據自身能力選擇參考書，強調與其死記單字，不如在日常生活中多看多用英文，例如訂機票或瀏覽Airbnb住宿網站，以輕鬆方式記憶單字。

 

The TOEIC training seminar this time is presented by lecturer, Valerie Hsu, an ETS English teacher invited by the International Affairs Office. She shares insights for administrative staff on preparing for the TOEIC test, covering topics such as explanations of question types, test-taking techniques, and preparation strategies. With a lively attitude, lecturer Xu introduces practical scenarios like Double Eleven shopping and ordering food abroad to spark participants’ interest in English learning. She explains TOEIC question types related to the workplace or daily life, including picture-based, response-based, paragraph completion, and reading comprehension.

 

Lecturer Xu guides participants through practical exercises with actual exam questions and test recordings, focusing on listening for keywords, identifying relevant elements in questions, and choosing appropriate sentences in paragraph completion. Finally, she advises participants to choose reference books based on their abilities and emphasizes the importance of incorporating English into daily life activities, such as booking flights or browsing Airbnb accommodation websites, for a more relaxed vocabulary acquisition instead of just memorizing words.
